Monitoring Based Commissioning (MBCx)

December 11 | 9am - 11am | MLK Community Center, National City

“From the moment a building is constructed and starts consuming resources, it starts deteriorating. Mechanical, electrical, automation, and all building systems naturally decline over time in terms of both performance and efficiency. The results can be the same; operations and maintenance costs rise, energy consumption rises, and occupant comfort may decline.” [1] MBCx, commissioning support, training, and implementation is an essential part of the ZNE process.

This presentation will cover the latest calibrated modeling techniques by looking at actual utilities to validate performance and update predicted baselines. How to use baselines for Monitoring-Base Commissioning (MBCx) and ZNE projects. As well as how to Measure, Manage and Verify (MM&V) planning, commissioning support, training, and implementation.
