Who are we?
Women+ in Green is a platform for quarterly events designed to strengthen the message of equality and empower people of marginalized genders in the green building and sustainability sectors. Event topics range from leadership to self-development and understanding equality gaps in the green building sector. This committee was inspired by the national movement and Women in Green conversations taking place in USGBC communities around the country. In San Diego, the committee is led by our volunteers and local leaders in the green building movement.
Women + in Green is a safe space. We create inclusive and warm environments for our community. We welcome people of all gender identities and expressions at our events. Please note that while many of our educational events center the experiences of women, our goal is to hold conversations for all people who have experienced misogyny. We seek to empower those who need it most.

What are we working on?
We're excited to be partnering with the SDGBC Equity Advisory Committee to support the Building Connections Mentorship Program that we helped launch in 2021.
