Who are we?
Women+ in Green is a platform for quarterly events designed to strengthen the message of equality and empower people of marginalized genders in the green building and sustainability sectors. Event topics range from leadership to self-development and understanding equality gaps in the green building sector. This committee was inspired by the national movement and Women in Green conversations taking place in USGBC communities around the country. In San Diego, the committee is led by our volunteers and local leaders in the green building movement.
We have recently updated our name to reflect the inclusive and welcoming environment we would like to create for our community. We are Women+ in Green - to welcome people of all gender identities and expressions to attend our events. Please note that while many of our educational events center the experiences of women, our goal is to hold conversations for all people who have lived experience of misogyny.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we hope to connect with you soon!
