Course Description: 

This presentation will detail the management process of reducing your carbon impact in the most cost-effective way. The presentation will explain the starting point for a carbon footprint assessment to highlight the activities that create the most emissions.

Boris Gamazaychikov, PE, LEED AP BD+C

Boris specializes in quantifying and reducing embodied carbon through Whole Building Life Cycle Assessments and developing custom tools for portfolio carbon analysis. He blends his background in civil engineering and passion for sustainability to guide clients through complex building certifications including Living Building Challenge, Zero Carbon, LEED, and WELL certification for diverse projects ranging from parks to skyscrapers. Prior to working at stok, Boris managed the Pentagon’s sustainable construction program, where he developed a strong belief that the built environment can have a positive impact on the world.

Charlie Christenson, PE, BEMP, CEA, LEED AP BD+C

Charlie brings his experience and passion for providing reliable and innovative building energy modeling to every high performance project. As one of the few ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professionals in California, he is highly recognized for his expert energy modeling skills for predictive modeling, calibrated modeling, and thermal comfort. Charlie’s 16 years of experience spans a wide range of occupancy types on both a building and campus scale. Across every project type, his collaborative approach with team members leads to delivering high quality and timely results for optimized building performance.
