Do Zero Net Energy (ZNE) commercial buildings really use zero energy? Are owners glad they built them? Do occupants like them? Behind the goals, the strategies, and the data are the stories. Using case studies which span from the earliest ZNE projects in San Diego to recent projects, this seminar brings to light stories about how decisions were made, what was hoped for and what actually happened, and how successfully these buildings have been operating from their first year and up to ten years of time.
Seminar Highlights:
- Mostly-local ZNE Case Studies, new construction and major renovations
- Decision processes
- Design and construction factors
- Outcomes and occupant satisfaction
