1. What projects are you currently working on?
Our current project portfolio consists of a wide variety of occupancy types, from office buildings, educational projects (Higher Ed and K-12), affordable housing, civic/municipalities, military, high-tech and bio-tech facilities, to hospitality, healthcare, and professional sports venues.
Some of our current projects are the San Diego International Airport, UC Irvine Middle Earth Student Housing, and Alexan Little Italy Apartments at Union and Ash. One of our longest-running clients, the County of San Diego, maintains a vast portfolio of projects which encompass a variety of sustainability initiatives including Energy Master Planning services, embodied carbon analysis, emissions reporting, net zero design and building operations.
Some of our San Francisco’s team’s noteworthy projects are One De Haro—San Francisco’s first cross-laminated timber building-- and the San Jose Sharks Ice Rink Expansion.

2. How is your organization connected to the San Diego region?
stok’s energy engineering team has been active in the San Diego region for over 15 years (formerly as Brummitt Energy Associates), with 55+ local clients and over 200 local LEED certified and ZNE projects. Our group is actively engaged in supporting and providing educational opportunities at the SDGE Energy Innovation Center and other local venues for Zero Energy, Carbon Neutral, Embodied Carbon, Lighting/Daylighting, and WELL Certification. Our staff are active participants in SDGBC, and we enjoy a long tradition of local community volunteering, recently helping the SDUSD students at Taft Middle School plant a garden and vertical hanging vegetables at their school for Green Apple Day of Service.
