The Importance of Measurement & Verification

December 5 | 9am - 11am | MLK Community Center, National City

“You can’t manage what you can’t see.”  This old adage points to the value of measuring to manage and verify energy and water performance. Effective management requires not just seeing a number, but understanding the meaning of the number by knowing what it should be.

Projects which are not monitored with understanding have a very high likelihood of drifting away from planned operational efficiency. This undercuts the investments made in efficiency and renewable energy systems, and these losses are multiplied over time. The long-term success of any comprehensive energy efficiency program depends on the development of an accurate, successful Measurement & Verification (M&V) plan.

Speakers:

Courtney Bonas - M&V Project Manager, stok

Sandy Houck - Associate Principal | M&V Project Manager, stok
