Union 4

Located in the Banker’s Hill neighborhood of San Diego, the property was originally purchased with the intent of restoring the historic building that sat at the front of the site. After careful research into the historical significance of the structure, we discovered that the house was built in 1888 by Fred W. Osborne, an important character in the development of San Diego’s early construction industry. We decided to design Union 4 making the existing structure the focal point of the project, with three additional modern units that take advantage of downtown and water views. Union 4 offers four families the chance to live in a sustainably built home with a community gathering space, easy access to public transportation, and local amenities and a non-existent electric bill offset by their own set of roof top solar panels.
