In an effort to grow its educational programs and offerings, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is expanding its facilities to include a new Ocean Education Learning Center. The new 26,000 sf building consists of classrooms, meeting/event spaces, a catering area, and offices. Provided project architects, Mark Cavagnero Associates, with CALGreen compliance and LEED certification services, targeting a LEED 2009 for New Construction Gold certification. Also assisted with a PACE loan assessment to fund the hard and soft costs of green building as well as net-zero water and energy building features.
