Panel:
Tina Angeles, Architect, Perkins&Will
A senior architect at Perkins&Will, Tina Angeles, has over 17 years’ experience on a wide variety of public and private project types. After gaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of the Philippines in 2004, she immigrated to the United States and initially worked on a mix of urban infill residential and hospitality projects as well as large projects for the community college district. She has since worked on a variety of projects such as mixed-use residential, civic, tenant improvement and mixed-use commercial projects with a focus on sustainability and high-performance design. In all facets of her life, Tina brings positive change and teaches those around her how to join in. Tina is active with the San Diego Green Building Council, where she currently sits on the board and was the founding co-chair of the Women in Green committee. In her spare time, she likes to volunteer with her community as well as check out what the outdoors has to offer with her husband and 5-year old son.
Chika Acholonu, Verdani Partners
Chika is an Associate Director of ESG at Verdani Partners, a full-service ESG consulting firm that supports commercial real estate clients with their ESG programs. At Verdani, Chika supports his clients with ESG strategy, reporting, tenant and employee engagement, and climate risk assessment. In addition, Chika serves as chair of Verdani's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Prior to Verdani, Chika worked in various sustainability roles in the higher education, healthcare, local government, and nonprofit sectors. Chika holds a B.S. in environmental science and resource management from the University of Washington.
Celia Hoag, DPR Construction
Celia is the Southwest Sustainability Leader for DPR Construction. As a regional subject matter expert, her responsibilities include working with project teams on implementing best practices on the jobsite to help build a more resilient, sustainable and inclusive built environment. Celia engages with clients and teams throughout the project’s lifecycle to help create more comfortable, healthier and regenerative spaces for the occupants. As a mentor and volunteer, she is committed to advocating for those who feel underrepresented or undervalued in our communities, to help promote a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for us all.
Moderator:
Ravi Bajaj, Principal, ESG & Sustainability, Citadel EHS
Ravi is a Principal for Citadel’s ESG & Sustainability Practice area – overseeing ESG consulting, WELL Performance Testing, and IEQ sampling for sustainability and health & wellbeing building certification programs. Mr. Bajaj is focused on quality, client service and education, and helping clients with continuous improvement programs. He has experience in collaborative project management with GRESB, WELL, LEED, BREEAM In-Use, Fitwel, and Living Building Challenge rating systems, direct experience with WELL PV and BREEAM In-Use assessments, as well as energy and water consumption data acquisition, tracking, and analysis.
